San Sebastiano de Sodoma How did Saint Sebastian die?
Arrows pierced his throat and thigh
which only knew, before that time,
the dolors of a concubine.
Near above him, hardly over,
hovered hid gold martyr's crown.
Even Mary from Her tower
of heaven leaned a little down
and as She leaned, She raised a corner
of a cloud through which to spy.
Sweetly troubled Mary murmured
as She watched the arrows fly.
And as the cup that was profaned
gave up its sweet, intemperate wine,
all the golden bells of heaven
praised an emperor's concubine.
Mary, leaning from her tower
of heaven, dropped a tiny flower
but, privately, she must have wondered
if it were indeed wise to
let this boy in Paradise? I was so fascinated by this poem that I ended up reading lot of literature about St.Sebastian and Tennessee Williams. This is what I found out:

A short movie Iril made at school with a couple of friends. They have been working on making movies for a couple of weeks, and they came up with the idea of a vampire-santa :) Iril plays Santa.

Well, last sunday actually she was 7 months. Had her check-up last week, she's now 7920 grams and 67,5 cms :) 44,4 cms around her head.
She's doing really good over all, she can do all the things she's supposed to do, and she's a healthy, happy baby. We haven't been vaccinated against H1N1 yet, but we will when it's our turn. Lilja haven't been sick at all since she was born, so I think her immune system is pretty good :)

NYT:
Ms. Palin also accuses the McCain campaign of keeping her away from reporters, which fed a perception that she was ignoring the media. She writes that she sat down with Katie Couric in part because she felt sorry for her, after Nicolle Wallace, a McCain aide, said Ms. Couric suffered from low self-esteem. BAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh man, that is hilarious.
Greg Sargent follows up with former McCain staff to get their side of the story:
“It’s not true,” the McCain adviser I just reached said, laughing heartily at the claim. “It’s ridiculous.”
...
“She lacked the knowledge base to stand in front of the press corps that was traveling with her and answer questions,” the adviser said delicately. “Because of the success of the convention speech, the feeling was that she should be exposed to as many people as possible directly, not through a media filter. The way to do that was to do interviews with the anchors.”
“The truth is, she refused to prepare for the Katie Couric interview,” the adviser continued. “She refused to engage in any preparation. And it was a disaster.”
The adviser also mocked a contradiction at the core of Palin’s claims: She’s simultaneously saying she was muzzled and kept from the press, even as she’s claiming she only did the Couric interview at the urging of McCain aides.
